Member cooperative managers and Basin Electric staff gathered for the 2025 summer Member Managers Conference in Deadwood, South Dakota, on July 23-25.
Member managers and Basin Electric staff meet twice a year to exchange information, share ideas, and work closely on issues. This summer, 107 members attended the conference, and 82 member cooperatives were represented.
The Conference began with opening comments from Basin Electric CEO and General Manager, Todd Brickhouse. The meeting continued with updates on the cooperative’s growth and load forecast, generation and transmission planning, and a commodity market update. Additional presentations were given on the financial forecasts for both Dakota Gas and Basin Electric, strategic planning, rates, and the new large load program.
