Basin Electric announced at its board of directors meeting on July 11 that Katrina Wald has been named the cooperative’s interim vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) effective immediately. Todd Brickhouse, who most recently served in that role, was named interim chief executive officer and general manager following the resignation of Todd Telesz.

Wald has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance and has been with Basin Electric since 2016. Most recently she served as the cooperative’s vice president and controller.

“Katrina has the qualities you seek in an executive: unquestionable integrity, a keen business acumen, a work ethic that is second to none, and a collegial presence,” said Brickhouse.

A native of Dickinson, North Dakota, Wald holds a degree in accounting from Dickinson State University and is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the North Dakota Society of CPAs.
