Security and Response Services launch quarterly newsletter

Social media is an easy way to connect with family, friends, and in this case, the members of Basin Electric. The Security and Response Services (SRS) team recently launched a new quarterly newsletter that will be posted to its Facebook page, Security and Response Services.

SRS offers around the clock dispatching service for after-hours calls and emergency power outages. SRS wants to connect with its members quickly and efficiently in an engaging and informative way and came up with the idea of a newsletter. “We want to talk about all things dispatch related,” said Jolene Johnson, Basin Electric manager of Security and Response Services. The newsletter will also provide information on upcoming events, reminders, and will profile our current team and new employees.

The first dispatcher profile was posted on March 31 and showcases Diane Nieuwsma, the longest-serving member of the Dispatch team having worked in SRS for 20 years. Johnson hopes the newsletter will not only spark interest in the Facebook page but will also create a bridge between SRS and members.

Johnson encourages members and others interested in what the team does to visit its Facebook page and send in a request to join the group.
