The employees of Wyoming Lime Producers earned the Certificate of Achievement from the Wyoming State Mine Inspector for working nearly 31,000 hours, a perfect record of no lost-time accidents, for the calendar year 2021. The team has gone over two years without a lost-time accident.
Wyoming Lime is a division of Dakota Coal Company and owns the Frannie Lime Plant, a limestone processing facility near Frannie, Wyoming. Frannie Lime converts limestone to high-quality lime through a heat transfer process called calcination. The operator of the plant is Pete Lien & Sons of Rapid City, South Dakota.
Plant Manager Justin Bowers said Pete Lien & Sons is committed to “Goal Zero” of having zero safety incidents. “We have a culture that practices safety every day and a team that takes pride in their safety culture.”
