In October, Basin Electric’s Security Response Services (SRS) marked two major milestones, reaching 100 members actively served and surpassing 1 million meters under protection. This growth reflects increasing demand for rapid, coordinated response support across the cooperative’s service area.
Chad Reisenauer, vice president of community and member relations, said the milestones reflect both the program’s continued growth and the confidence members have in the service.
“Reaching 100 members demonstrates the value SRS delivers across our system,” Reisenauer said. “Each new participant strengthens our collective ability to respond efficiently and enhance safety for our crews and the communities we serve.”
He noted that surpassing 1 million meters served marks another significant achievement for the program.
“A million meters represents more than growth,” he said. “It reflects a stronger, more resilient electric system. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and look forward to building on that success in the years ahead.”
The SRS team expects continued growth, driven largely by word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied customers. Rather than relying on advertising, consistently delivering quality service encourages existing customers to recommend SRS to their neighbors and communities.
