February 18–19, member cooperative managers and Basin Electric staff came together in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for the 2026 Winter Member Managers Conference.
Held twice each year, these conferences provide an opportunity to connect, exchange information, and collaborate on key issues facing the cooperative. This winter’s meeting brought strong participation from across the membership as 90 members attended the conference representing 81 co-ops.
The conference opened with remarks from Basin Electric CEO and General Manager Todd Brickhouse, followed by updates on system growth and load forecasts, regulations and legislation, generation and transmission planning, commodity market conditions, and more.
