This week's Basin's Backyard Garden harvest doubles homegrown donations received so far in 2022.

Gardeners donated 102.8 pounds carrots, beans, zucchini, beets, cucumbers, peppers, and squash.

Veggie taxi driver Della Mastel delivered the fresh, local vegetables to Heaven's Helpers Soup Cafe.

"I just love this cause and I want to continue to be a part of it," Mastel says. She has been a volunteer with Basin's Backyard Garden since inception in 2014, and has retired from Basin Electric.

Homegrown donations in 2022 total 202.8 pounds so far.
