All tours are full. Thank you for your interest.
Basin Electric offers three tour options to Annual Meeting attendees on Nov. 9. One takes visitors to the Antelope Valley Station power plant and The Coteau Properties Company Freedom Mine, where lignite coal is mined. The second tour also travels to the Freedom Mine, but also stops at the Great Plains Synfuels Plant, where lignite coal is converted to natural gas, fertilizers and many other products.
Tour buses leave the Bismarck Civic Center at 7 a.m. Breakfast and coffee will be provided. Buses will return to the civic center in time for the start of the meeting at 1 p.m.
Close-toed shoes are required; casual clothing is fine.
The third tour stays in Bismarck at Headquarters. There will be two Headquarters tours: the first at 8 a.m., and the second at 10 a.m. Each tour will be approximately one hour, stopping at the Marketing area, Security and Response Services dispatch area, the Communications studio and print shop, and Headquarters construction.
Shuttle buses will be available for the Headquarters tours.
Look to your annual meeting registration email and follow the registration link to register for one of the tours. Register for either:
