Minnesota Rural Electric Association will host the 17th annual Energy Issues Summit in St. Cloud, MN, July 31-Aug. 3.
Preconference courses on July 31 will focus on orientation for new directors, ethics and governance, and how directors may want to use social media.
Speakers on day one of the regular session include Martin Lowery, National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA); David Owen, The New Yorker; John Abraham, University of St. Thomas; Steve Collier, Milsoft; Kristen Bowring, Best Buy; and Robbin Christianson, NRECA Cooperative Research Network.
On the second day of the conference, speakers include David Bayless, Ohio University; Corwin Hardham, Makani Power; and David Wasserman, Cook Political Report. The afternoon session that day is billed as a bonus session, including Adam Schwartz, National Cooperative Business Association; and Joel Johnson, Minnesota Rural Electric Association.
