Registration for 2011 Annual Meeting now open

The Annual Meeting will be held Nov. 8-10 in Bismarck, ND.

Directors, employees and members from across Basin Electric’s service territory will gather for the cooperative’s 50^th annual meeting Nov. 8-10 at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel in Bismarck, ND. The theme for this year’s meeting is “Generation for Generations.”

Members can register for annual meeting by visiting Basin Electric’s website, http://www.basinelectric.com/News_Center/Events/Event_Registration/index.html. A tentative agenda and hotel information are also available.

The Resolutions Committee will meet in the Governors room on Nov. 8 at 1 p.m.

Annual meeting activities will begin with a social Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. in the Ramkota Hotel Courtyard and Lamborn Room.

Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. on Nov. 9. Tours of the Great Plains Synfuels Plant, Antelope Valley Station and The Coteau Properties Company Freedom Mine are scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. They will be complete before annual meeting convenes at 12:50 p.m.

Basin Electric Security and Response Services (SRS) will host a breakfast at 7 a.m., and the Resolutions Committee will meet at 8 a.m. A preconference session will be announced in the near future. A spouses’ luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m.

The Wednesday afternoon meeting will feature reports from the President, CEO/General Manager, Generation Department, the Resolutions Committee, the Bylaws Review Committee, Transmission Department, and presentations of employee, director, and special awards.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m., Basin Electric’s 50-year anniversary social and banquet celebration will be held at the Bismarck Civic Center with a program, video, dinner and entertainment by the Blenders.

On Thursday, government action, financial and subsidiaries reports as well as voting on resolution and bylaw changes will round out the meeting. Board directors from districts 2, 4, 6 and 10 are up for election this year.
