Harper recognized during Heartland Consumers Power District meeting
The resolution states, "Heartland takes great pleasure in recognizing the significant professional contributions and achievements of Ron Harper."

During the Heartland Consumers Power District board meeting Sept. 8, a resolution was approved recognizing Ron Harper, Basin Electric CEO and general manager.
Heartland, based in Madison, SD, is a part-owner of the Laramie River Station, a coal-based power plant in Wheatland, WY, through the Missouri Basin Power Project (MBPP). Basin Electric is also a member of MBPP; Basin Electric also operates Laramie River Station.
Mike McDowell, Heartland general manager, said the resolution honors Harper for his service.
Excerpts from the resolution:
"Ron has spent his career working to improve the lives of rural communities, always keeping in mind the person at the end of the line ... Ron has provided effective and sensitive leadership for the partnerships Basin Electric has with Heartland and others in the Missouri Basin Power Project and Western Fuels Association ... the Heartland Board of Directors and management wish to recognize Ron and wish him well upon his retirement."
