Basin Electric employees teamed up with more employees of Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives to lend a hand for the Missouri Slope Areawide United Way Day of Caring on Aug. 17.
Day of Caring was established to promote the spirit and value of volunteerism, increase the awareness of local human service agencies and schools, and demonstrate how people working together can accomplish great things.
The projects completed this year included work at the Abused Adult Resource Center, Central Dakota Humane Society, Dakota Zoo, Downtown Business Association, Mandan Heritage Organization, Missouri Valley Historical Society, Missouri Valley Family YMCA, Musician's Association, Northern Plains Dance, Pride Manchester House, Ruth Meiers Hospitality House, Tracy's Sanctuary House, Welcome House Inc., and Volunteer Caregiver Exchange.
