Construction at the Dry Fork Station near Gillette, WY, is now more than 90 percent complete.
While construction continues, the commissioning process is in full swing. The water treatment building (center of photo, just beyond the waste water pond) houses the demineralization system. Once the plant is operational, the demineralization system is designed to treat 136 gallons of water per minute. Right now, the system is being commissioned.
"All along the line, we take water samples and do chemical analysis on the water to make sure each piece of equipment is doing what it needs to do at the right step," says Jeremy Dvorak, lead lab tech at Dry Fork Station. The demineralization system was considered fully operational on June 30.
