Dalrymple congratulates Basin Electric on 50 years of service

The cooperative is celebrating its 50th anniversary during members' annual meeting in Bismarck.

Gov. Jack Dalrymple today congratulated Basin Electric Power Cooperative for providing 50 years of electrical service to rural America.

Incorporated in 1961, Basin Electric has become one of the largest electric generation and transmission cooperatives in the United States. Basin Electric's core business is generating and transmitting wholesale, bulk electric power primarily to 135 member rural electric systems located in North Dakota and eight other states.

The cooperative is celebrating its 50^th anniversary during members' annual meeting in Bismarck.
