Generous donations were made to three worthy causes in Elkton recently.
The Elkton School, Elkton Community Library, and the Elkton Fire Department were recipients of the Deer Creek Station 2011 Worker Safety Luncheon Donations. Basin Electric Power Cooperative, Boldt Construction, AZCO, Van Ert Electric Company, East River Electric Power Cooperative and Sioux Valley Energy also provided matching funds.
Funds were donated to the Elkton School Backpack Program, which provides food for children from needy families over the weekend and holiday breaks.
