The Bismarck Bobcats look like they'll be one of the teams to beat in the NAHL. But some of the guys are getting more than one look for another reason.
For more on that, lets go 'Inside the Den.'
The Bismarck Bobcats could not have started their series with Owatonna any better, with a 6-nothing win on Friday Night. But the next night, it was a different story as the Express edged the Cats 4-to-2, leaving them with 78 points total. And while Saturday's loss is still in their hair it's Saturday's loss of hair that has people talking.
(Layne Sedevie): "I have done it previously, I did it in college for playoffs. I don't know why we did it, some guys dye their hair and do different stuff and I guess, I shave my head."
Assistant Coach Layne Sedevie and Owner Thom Brigl had their heads shaved at center ice during an intermission...as part St. Baldrick's, which raises money for cancer research.
(Layne Sedevie): "I have seen a lot of different things at center ice, like proposals and stuff like that in my time, but it was a good thing and people say 'why did you shave your head' and 'why did you do that' and once I tell them what the cause is for, for kids cancer, they smile and say 'what a great deal!'"
The players are also involved. Aaron Quick and Devin Schmidt were also shaved on Saturday... and four others were shaved today.
(Aaron Quick): "You feel the temperature a lot quicker, that's for sure, and your head gets a lot colder faster. It is for a good cause and I have had cancer in my family and the opportunity came to raise some awareness about cancer and I took it."
The Cats have four games remaining, with two at North Iowa this weekend and two at home next week against Albert Lea.
