In less than a month, Basin Electric will kick off their St. Baldrick's campaign, where they'll raise as much money as possible for children's cancer research.
Today, they're recognized for their past efforts.
Employees at Basin Electric accept an honorable mention award in Washington D.C. Basin Electric was selected an one of eight finalists for a Corporate Social Responsibility Award. In two years, the company has shaved more than 300 heads and has raised more than $200,000. Basin Electric was in the running against several globally recognized businesses such as eBay, Hasbro, and Aflac.
Daryl Hill, spokesman for Basin Electric, says, "The nice part of this, or the thing that makes us so happy is that we were up against a very large campaign, a nationwide campaign and being recognized on this level is very flattering and very gratifying to us because this is a worthwhile event."
This year's campaign kicks off March 17th. Basin Electric is hoping to raise $150,000.
