Water Heaters

Members can save money on the installation of water heaters.

Many of the members provide rebates and low-interest loans for the installation of electric water heaters.

These programs are designed to encourage the installation of efficient large capacity water heaters that will facilitate energy efficiency and in many cases demand-side management.

The member's total rebates, low-interest loans, and other programs for water heaters average approximately $1.3 million for the years 2002 through 2005. The new and more efficient water heaters are estimated to average approximately 4,300 MWh of annual energy savings.
