Basin Electric's core business is selling wholesale bulk electric power mainly to its 136 member systems.

Surplus capacity

Our wholesale electric power business is primarily with our member systems, but we post the amount of capacity available after load and operating reserve forecasts have been calculated. Go to the surplus capacity page for hourly sales and long-term contract information.
