Jennifer Holen, Basin Electric's event planner/charitable giving coordinator, serves on our Charitable Giving Committee, which meets periodically to review requests for funding. Please read the information on this page carefully to understand our program and how we are helping communities across our cooperative territories.

Basin Electric and its subsidiaries are community-focused. Each year our Charitable Giving Program donations are dispersed to charities in the Basin membership's nine-state service territory. A portion of Basin Electric's Charitable Giving funds are allocated as matching funds for donations made by our member systems. Basin Electric also donates surplus office equipment such as computers, desks and chairs for organizations in need.

Giving back to the organizations that help keep our communities strong and growing is important to us. Community growth and sustainability are vital to our corporate mission. Without charitable programs and non-profit services, the communities where our members live and work would not thrive as they do. We know that financial contributions are important to helping service organizations grow and function efficiently.

Our charitable contributions fall under five categories.
